1. Official Vulkollan® Licensee (Covestro)

Vulkollan® may only be processed by licensees who meet Covestro’s strict quality standards. Vulkoprin is such an official licensee, which means that they work according to Covestro’s tightly controlled NDI process.

-> This guarantees maximum material quality and consistency.

2. In-house design, engineering, production and test track

Vulkoprin distinguishes itself through vertical integration:

• Own R&D, choice of materials and engineering
• Own production in Europe – Tielt (Belgium)
• Own test facilities including a test trackSingle-source responsibility: one point of contact for the entire chain

-> This results in higher reliability, shorter lead times and full quality control.

3. Strong focus on customization and niche applications

While many manufacturers mainly supply standard Vulkollan® wheels, Vulkoprin excels in customer-specific solutions, both in small and large series.

They serve demanding niche markets such as:

• Material handling (forklifts, AGVs, shuttles, stacker cranes)
• Mechanical engineering (maximum lifespan & reliability)
• Theme park industry – Vulkoprin is even a preferred supplier for many amusement parks worldwide.

4. Use of own polyurethane developments (Printhane™)

In addition to Vulkollan®, Vulkoprin develops additional elastomers such as:

• Printhane-X™ – specifically for very fast roller coasters
• Printhane™ GRIP – extra grip at drive

-> These materials cover applications where standard Vulkollan® is less optimal and give Vulkoprin a unique portfolio.

5. Specialist in high load / high speed applications

Vulkoprin develops wheels for extremely demanding conditions:

• High speeds
• Heavy loads
• Low rolling resistance
• Minimal heat generation

-> This is reflected in e.g. their high-speed/high-load portfolio and rollercoaster wheels. Examples of extreme applications include AGVs with a carrying capacity of up to 35 tonnes for the material handling of Rolls-Royce aircraft engines or wheels for rotor sails that harness the power of the wind to propel ships, resulting in improved vessel efficiency and reducing fuel consumption and emissions of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

6. Revulcanizing/Recoating Service

In addition to production, Vulkoprin offers a recoating service in which existing cores are refurnished with Vulkollan® or Printhane-X™ .

-> This reduces costs for the customer and extends the life of capital-intensive components.

8. Single source contact supported by a professional team

A first line contact person is assigned to each customer, who is available as an interface between the customer demand and the various departments within the Vulkoprin organization. Only when the customer’s request has been properly understood, the designers and production are started. During the production process, customers are proactively informed of progress and any malfunctions.
