Vulkollan® may only be processed by licensees who meet Covestro’s strict quality standards. Vulkoprin is such an official licensee, which means that they work according to Covestro’s tightly controlled NDI process.

-> This guarantees maximum material quality and consistency.

Vulkoprin distinguishes itself through vertical integration:

  1. Use of own polyurethane developments (Printhane™)

In addition to Vulkollan®, Vulkoprin develops additional elastomers such as:

  • Printhane-X™ – specifically for very fast roller coasters
  • Printhane™ GRIP – extra grip at drive

-> These materials cover applications where standard Vulkollan® is less optimal and give Vulkoprin a unique portfolio.

Vulkoprin develops wheels for extremely demanding conditions:

  • Heavy loads
  • Low rolling resistance
  • Minimal heat generation

-> This is reflected in e.g. their high-speed/high-load portfolio and rollercoaster wheels. Examples of extreme applications include AGVs with a carrying capacity of up to 35 tonnes for the material handling of Rolls-Royce aircraft engines or wheels for rotor sails that harness the power of the wind to propel ships, resulting in improved vessel efficiency and reducing fuel consumption and emissions of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

 

  1. Revulcanizing/Recoating Service

In addition to production, Vulkoprin offers a recoating service in which existing cores are refurnished with Vulkollan® or Printhane-X™ .

-> This reduces costs for the customer and extends the life of capital-intensive components.

Only when the customer’s request has been properly understood, the designers and production are started.
